Porch Concert 07/27/07

We had our annual porch concert on Friday, July 27th. This is our third one. It's an easy gig. I bring my stuff up from the basement and set it up on the porch. We drew 40-50 of the DFL (Democratic Farmer Labor) party faithful. It was a lot of fun and we used more of a full band this time.

Electrically and acoustically yours. These and all photos by my mom.

This is basically a fund raiser, but it is a good musical event. My friend Art Bjorngjeld opened for us and he played push button accordian and sang. My wife Erin then sang a version of "Summertime" and then we went into some songs together that we had not played together in some time.

I was joined by my friends Todd Fugere (bass), John Hoffman (drums), and Erin my wife (keyboard).

I had forgotten how much fun it was to play with a band and I had a great time. It also is nice to play and promote progressive causes.

For the third  year in a row we did not have any rain and for the first no threat of it. Also, it cooled off for us othewise it would have been a short set.

Looking forward to next year!
